When pressed for time, I've thrown this together the night before and the next day, squirted some whipped cream over the top, then popped a few slices of lime in the middle and grabbed it on my way out to a pot luck dinner with friends and received raves from everyone who was lucky enough to snag a peice.
This recipe is definitely worth trying. Trust me... it's a keeper.
Chef's Note:
Although this is a mighty tasty pie, of course it's best served in a homemade graham cracker crust. I have made it both ways and regardless, this pie is so delicious, it certainly doesn't taste like an on-the-fly dessert.
