Slow Cooker Oatmeal Cereal

Slow Cooker Oatmeal Cereal
  • Prep Time: 5 minutes

  • Cook Time: Simmer Overnight


  • 2 cups milk

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 1 cup quick cooking or rolled oats

  • ¼ cup brown or white sugar

  • pinch of salt, as desired

  • ¼ cup milk, cream or half & half (optional)

  • fruit or berries, as desired when serving (optional)


  1. Add first 5 ingredients to slow-cooker and stir well to combine.

  2. Place slow-cooker on the lowest setting*, cover and allow to simmer for at least 5 hours.

  3. If desired, just before serving add the optional ¼ cup of milk, cream or half & half to the hot cereal and stir well until fully incorporated and creamy.

  4. For an added treat, cover cereal with berries, fruit, or nuts.

(*) The warm setting is recommended, if available, depending on your brand of slow-cooker.
