Christmas Cranberry Bread

This super simple Christmas quick bread is the perfect treat for the holidays and anytime. It is very easy and delicious. We highly recommend taking a few minutes to put this recipe together. It will quickly become a family favorite during the holiday season and throughout the year!

Christmas Cranberry Bread


  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup sugar

  • 1½ teaspoon baking powder

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • ¾ cup orange juice

  • ¼ cup butter, melted and cooled

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries, cut in pieces

  • ½ cup chopped walnuts


  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Prepare 5-by-9-inch loaf pan.

  2. In a bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture. Add egg, orange juice and butter. Stir just until dry ingredients are moistened. Stir in cranberries and walnuts.

  3. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake until bread is golden brown on top and a wooden pick comes out clean (about 45 minutes).
