RECIPE OF THE DAY ::

      HOMEMADE DRAMBUIE LIQUEUR

This unusual recipe will fool even the most discriminating!

                 Ingredients:

1 (750ml) bottle of Johnny Walker Black Scotch

                    1 1/2 cups honey

2 teaspoons chopped dried angelica root

                    1/4 teaspoon fennel seeds

1/2 of a lemon, the zest only

   Method:

    1.  Using an apple peeler, carefully peel just the rind of the lemon,

    discarding the white pith.

    2.  Combine all ingredients in a tightly sealed container.

    3.  Shake several times for the first 24 hours.

    4.  After 24 hours, remove lemon zest.

    5.  Seal and let stand for 2 weeks in a cool, dark place shaking gently

    every other day.

    6.  Strain through a sieve to remove the angelica and fennel seeds.

    7.  Seal and let stand in a cool dark place for several months (preferable 6

    months).

NOTE: Even an, almost, undetectable hint of scent can ruin the liqueur flavor.

Wash containers EXTREMELY WELL and dry completely.
