            HOMEMADE APPLE LIQUEUR

                 Ingredients:

                    2 1/2 pounds apples

                    2 cups vodka

                    2 cups brandy

                    1 1/2 cups sugar

                    3 3/4 cup water

   Method:

    1.  Cut apples into wedges, put in jar. Pour vodka and brandy over apples.

Seal and age in a cool place for one month.

    2.  Strain or filter through cloth filters or cheese cloth.

    3.  Combine sugar and water, boil for at least 30 minutes, then allow to cool.

    4.  Combine liqueur and syrup into aging container, age for a month.

    5.  Strain, again, as needed.

    6.  Store in sealed container.

    .

VARIATION: Spiced apple. Add two 3" cinnamon sticks, 10 whole cloves,

    remove spices when filtering/squeezing apples.

NOTE: Even an, almost, undetectable hint of scent can ruin the liqueur flavor.

Wash containers EXTREMELY WELL and dry completely.
